Growing up is part of life. It is a process that comes with challenges that you learn from, some of which you enjoy and others that you hate. When I was 12 years old I went to boarding school little did I know that it would be the roughest time in my life. On March 2002 I realized that something was not right, my family escorted me to school I felt so scared, I kept on crying but my parents did not understand why.

Eating Disorder Story - First Meeting Ed |

I first met Ed (a figure widely used by specialists and therapists to represent an eating disorder as a character/concrete presence) in 2003 when I was in 8th grade. He convinced me that the way I looked did not match up with the standard of the other girls in my grade, and society. Every magazine and TV show I watched depicted the same type of skinny girl, and she always looked happy.
